Easy Friday Night Entertaining
Start the weekend off with a Friday night curry with friends. There's no need to spend hours in the kitchen chopping and grinding to get that authentic Indian flavour instead use one of the Real Organics curry sauces. For a lower fat healthy curry combine your favourite Real Organics sauce with some lean protein such as poultry (remove the skin before cooking), prawns, mixed seafood or tofu. Add plenty of fresh or frozen veggies such as red peppers, chopped onion, broccoli florets and a handful of green peas.


Accompany your curry with a low GI rice such as Maharani's, this rice supplies slow releasing carbohydrates which helps prevent blood sugar swings and sustains energy levels. 

Impress your friends by serving an authentic Indian lassi - combine the Fruit Hit Mango Smoothie with 2 dessertspoons of low fat bio yogurt, whizz with a hand blender and serve chilled with a grating of fresh ginger.

If you still have room for dessert then finish off with a light dessert of lychees (or similar fruits) topped with a sweet tahini sauce and a sprinkle of crushed Against the Grain Almond cookies. To make the tahini sauce, combine 2 tablespoons of tahini with 4 tablespoons of water and about 2 tablespoons of Zylosweet, blend well and pour over your chosen fruit.
